A Huge Learning Experience: Cooking With Special People

I want to quickly say this to you guys. I am terrible at documenting landmark learnings. I learn, I move on and I do not revisit until things coming knocking at my door.

But this thing I am about to do, is massive for me. Massive learning, massive nervousness and massive everything you could think of.

I am going to be conducting a workshop that I call Cooking Survival 101. I am going to conduct this tomorrow at a cook studio, Mumbai's first, called APB Cook Studio, which is owned and mentored by Rushina Ghildiyal. She's a brilliant woman and more about her later when I do a post on the workshop itself.

Why is this special to me? It is special because I am conducting this workshop for members of The Xavier's Resource Centre For The Visually Challenged. Five participants, each accompanied by a volunteer to act as aides. And the rest of us.

I have tried what I can to predict what I am about to step into, with Rushina helping me along and the two of us learning from it; the man, Prasanna, doing all the hand holding I will need because I am mostly out of control without him...I can just say I will learn a lot. I also hope this is just first of the several learnings in the culinary world up ahead of us. Not so much with food but more with how human beings become so much more than they are around good, hearty food.

The workshop is tomorrow, May 29, 2013. I am not going to be live tweeting, or live anything but being there completely with my teachers - no, not students this time. I am going to learn!

Wish us luck, and stay tuned to hear more about this! Something serious is definitely cooking :)
